Custom made Arabian Native Costume

Colors: Lush Burgundy and Sparkling Rose Pink with Baby Blue Sequined Inlay Accents / various colored adornments (gold, blue, pink, ruby);

For Rider:

Hat - Burgundy Velveteen Pillbox style (lined with satin) with sheer material pink sequined veil + inlay at front.

Blouse - Burgundy velveteen bodice and Glittery Rose colored long sleeves with ribbon lacing in back of bodice (see photo) for fitting adjustment up to size 12.

Pants - Harem style, Glittery Rose colored stretchy fabric, extra long for tall riders and with elastic in waist band up to size 12.

Over Coat - Lined, Burgundy velveteen with satin like lining, many inlays around sleeves - must see pics. Hidden zipper at front, covered with gold braid.

It has never been on a horse (yet!!) and is still new. Photos really cannot do it justice, as it is eye popping gorgeous and made to specifically catch light. The design is one of a kind and the workmanship is at the top of the scale. It is also made to adjust to various sizes of horse with rings under the edges. It is tasteful and eye catching! The artist has been doing this for some 40 years and some of the costumes made by her have been passed from one generation to the next because they are so wonderful and well made. She created the bridle and attached the beads onto it individually. The buckle on the headstall is hidden under the poll covering. There are many special features that she has put in that have resulted from her own experiences when competing in costume classes.

APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:

Blouse:
Sleeves: 26" length
Across from shoulder to shoulder 15 - 16"
Under arm to under arm is appr. 21" in front and bust is about 20" across. With the lace up feature on the back of the blouse, can be made to fit more snug.
Neck to waist front: 13"
Neck to waist back: 18 - 19"

Pants:
Waist: 26" or smaller depending on the adjustment of the elastic inserted inside the waste band up to 33"
Length: Waist to bottom of cuff: 58"
Inseam: 44"

The elastic in the cuff is made to be able to tuck the pants up to the knee if need be to shorten the pants.

Over Coat:
The back of the coat is appr. 52" from collar to the bottom with the front being 40+".
Only 8" of the front is fastened with snaps, from the collar down.
Shoulder to shoulder measurement is appr. 17".
Sleeves: appr. 29" short seam / 36 - 37" long seam (longest side of sleeve where the tassel is connected).
Weight: appr. 5 lbs.

Saddle Blanket:
48" from center seam to the longest point, so double that for complete size of length from center tassel to center tassel (does not include tassel length).
The width is right at 33".

*Also there are 6 extra burgundy colored tassels to fit the breast collar.

For other measurements please ask. The blouse and pants are made of slightly stretchy fabric for comfort. The costume is not washable. Dry Clean Only.

Volumes One through Eight of the Reference Handbook Of Straight Egyptian Horses. They have been handled quite a lot. Some are in excellent condition and most are in good condition. The binding on a couple of them have missing rings but all pages are in tact. The photos show the condition as best as possible and are of the actual book covers and pages.

The set will not be broken up, as I would not want a broken set for myself and the volumes that are the most difficult to locate would go first. Please do not request individual volumes.

Some pages will have stains or discoloration. For example, Volume Seven has some rippling on the pages from condensation at the very back of the book, and a stain on the inside back cover (see photo). Other pages are affected also, but the photos are still in decent condition in all of the books.

Overall, most volumes are in good condition and none are in "bad" condition as far as the inside pages go. The plastic spines on a couple have missing spirals but no missing pages and the photo pages are well viewable. Volume I is now considered a Collector's Item and hard to find. It is in excellent condition. Volume V, with a Spiral Bound Softcover is in "good" condition. NOT every volume offered is a Collector Item. For example, new copies of Volume VIII may or may not be available on the Pyramid Society web site.
